We are seeking a proactive and organised Research Support Assistant to support our expanding research programme.

You will play a key role in supporting the coordination and delivery of clinical and social research, service evaluations, and user-led projects. This includes assisting with funding applications, facilitating research with external partners, and supporting internal governance processes.

Hours Full Time - 37.5 per week

Full Time Salary £32,002.35 - £35,220.59 (Pro Rata for part time hours)

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

About the role

  • Monitor and advise on incoming research requests, supporting governance processes (e.g. ethical approval, data sharing agreements).
  • Maintain a database of research projects and gather feedback on outputs, reports and publications.
  • Co-ordinate and promote monthly “Lunch and Learn” online seminars.
  • Support project planning, timelines and deliverables, maintaining project management systems.
  • Facilitate clinical trials in collaboration with academic partners and research nurses.
  • Develop and maintain digital research resources.
  • Prepare and share research data and insights with governance groups and teams.
  • Contribute to funding applications and support the delivery of research grants.
  • Work collaboratively across the organisation to gather evidence, insights and case studies.
  • Support the Strategy and Partnerships team to evidence impact and share best practice.

About you

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Knowledge of issues linked to substance use, including housing, mental health, social care, social exclusion and crime.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel).
  • Experience of clinical trials and/or research fieldwork.
  • Understanding of research ethics and governance.
  • Ability to stay up to date with relevant services, legislation and practice.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with confidence engaging colleagues, partners and stakeholders.
  • Effective time and project management skills, with attention to detail and adaptability.
  • Enthusiasm for innovation, new ways of working and collaborative approaches.
  • Ability to work independently, flexibly, and with openness to learning.
