The team and role

The A&M Insight Center is the rapidly growing research and benchmarking arm of Alvarez & Marsal. Its mission is to provide our professionals and client executives with highly relevant, industry-specific, actionable, fact-based insights derived through our proprietary benchmarks and research studies globally. The Insight Center supports client work and business development with a growing suite of products, including custom benchmarking, research studies, subscriptions, and resources.

The Insight Center manages the firm’s multi-million dollar research subscription portfolio, encompassing over 200 subscriptions. Responsibilities include full lifecycle management: negotiating renewals, handling invoices, and responding to inquiries about current and new subscriptions. We are seeking a strong performer to manage all aspects of the firm’s research subscriptions. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with hybrid working in London.

Responsibilities

  1. Administrative responsibilities
  • Allocate invoices using the agreed model, obtain approval, and submit to Accounts Payable; track payment status to ensure terms are met
  • Execute user adds and drops via vendor/self-service platforms
  • Respond promptly to subscription questions from stakeholders across divisions and levels
  • Manage vendor communications regarding payments, usage, etc.
  • Record contract, invoice, subscription, and subscriber data in Salesforce
  • Strategic responsibilities
    • Monitor upcoming renewals; communicate with stakeholders; negotiate terms; work with Legal for contract execution
    • Provide cost budget guidance to divisional leaders
    • Identify cost-effective subscription alternatives and vet them with stakeholders

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree and some professional experience
    • The ideal candidate will have strong skills in:
      • Customer service; experience in professional services is a plus
      • Organization, prioritization, and attention to detail
      • Written and oral communication
      • Problem solving with creative, outside-the-box thinking
      • Flexibility and adaptability in uncertain environments

    Additional valuable skills include:

    • Experience with research subscriptions (e.g., CapIQ, Bloomberg) and Salesforce
    • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
    • Project management and leadership experience
