Overview

Large Language Models (LLMs) have shown remarkable abilities to perform reasoning in various tasks. They can process and understand natural language, and generate coherent responses. LLM-based AI Agents have potential to assist humans in intellectual tasks and contribute to solving complex problems. This role involves literature review and investigation of state-of-the-art AI Agent frameworks and models.

Work on solving important challenges and conduct cutting-edge research in LLM-based AI Agents. This role focuses on conducting academic and applied research in the field of AI Agents, with opportunities for collaboration with world-class academic organizations. The long-term goal is to utilize LLM-based AI Agents for decision-making and reasoning. The candidate will work on individual or team projects involving development of planning, reasoning, memory, reflection, tool-use and communication abilities. The candidate should be able to convert ideas into prototypes efficiently, optimize costs, and drive implementation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out literature reviews and investigate the state-of-the-art AI Agent frameworks and models.
• Conduct academic and applied research in the field of LLM-based AI Agents.
• Solve important challenges and contribute to cutting-edge research in LLM-based AI Agents.
• Collaborate with academic and research partners; contribute to planning, reasoning, memory, reflection, tool-use and communication capabilities in AI Agents.
• Convert ideas into prototypes efficiently and drive implementation with attention to cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of existing LLMs and AI Agents.
• Result-driven with good communication skills; ability to work efficiently in a multi-cultural, multi-site, multi-language and changing environment.
• Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving abilities; focused, proactive and motivated.
• Open-minded, fast learner; able to work autonomously and as part of a team of research and technical experts.
• Broad knowledge, versatile and hands-on; demonstrated ability to generate new ideas and innovate.
• Desirable: PhD in Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning or related areas with a focus on LLMs and AI Agents.
• A track record of high-quality research and publications in top-tier NLP/AI/ML venues (e.g., NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, ACL, NAACL, EMNLP, EACL).
• Excellent knowledge of LangChain, Auto-GPT, RL, and MAS.
