Job Description: DNA Construct Support Specialist

Oxford Nanopore Technologies, headquartered at the Oxford Science Park in the UK, with a global presence across the US, APAC, and Europe, is seeking a dedicated DNA Construct Support Specialist to join our Research Division. This role involves supporting research, development, and production activities through high-quality DNA supply, primarily for protein expression, contributing to our innovative sequencing platform.

Responsibilities include:

1. Molecular cloning, PCR, and primer design
2. Bacterial culturing
3. DNA extraction using bespoke methods, supplied kits, or liquid handling robots
4. DNA sequencing and construct validation
5. Effective communication with research and development teams

Qualifications:

• BSc, MSc, or equivalent in chemistry, biochemistry, or related fields
• Laboratory experience in a similar role is preferred
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Desire to learn and grow within the role
