We are seeking a talented and motivated Research Scientist to join our team at the Food and Nutrition National Bioscience Research Infrastructure (FN-NBRI) at Quadram Institute Bioscience (QIB), Norwich, UK.
Role Overview: In this role, you will undertake innovative research in nutrition and health, contributing to the harmonisation and curation of food composition data. This is a significant opportunity to impact national nutrition resources that inform policy, research, and industry practices.
FN-NBRI is a leading provider of data, knowledge, and tools related to food composition, intake, and systems, serving diverse users including academia, industry, healthcare, and government. We support nutritional policy, scientific research, and sustainability initiatives, collaborating closely with Quadram Institute and external scientists to enhance nutrition data and tools.
The ideal candidate is a PhD graduate in nutrition and health, with a strong interest in food data harmonisation. You should have published research in nutrition and dietetics, experience in qualitative and quantitative nutrition research—particularly on sustainable plant-based diets—and excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration. Motivation, organisation, independence, initiative, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
Salary ranges from £36,720 to £44,500 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. The position is full-time and indefinite.
