Job description

Your company

A global biopharmaceutical leader is looking for a high calibre scientist to join their Translational Sciences group on a 12-month contract in Slough. This department provides bioanalytical and biomarker assay support for clinical & non-clinical phases of drug development. There may be the possibility to work one day from home.

Your new role

  1. Involved in developing, optimising and validating ligand binding assays / immunoassays
  2. Support progression of various stages of discovery and drug development
  3. Present your data at multidisciplinary project team meetings
  4. Understanding the underlying biological & therapeutic approaches to the programmes you are supporting
  5. Maintain laboratory equipment to high standards, remaining compliant with all applicable regulations

What you'll need to succeed

  1. BSc or PhD in a Biological discipline
  2. Biomarker assay development experience
  3. 3+ years of working in a laboratory environment
  4. Hands-on experience of running ligand binding assays / immunoassays (such as Singulex, ELLA, MSD, ELISA, Gyros, Simoa/Quanterix)
  5. Examples of using transfer methods (external providers, collaborators)
