An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic individual to join the Research & Development Directorate. We are looking to appoint a Trust Sponsored Research Project Manager to contribute in the performance of research sponsorship functions to support researchers in developing alternative treatment plans to the standard care pathway for patients and other NHS research.
The post holder will assist the Group Research Sponsorship Manager by providing effective administrative support in order to set up and manage the West Midlands Haematology Research Collaborative (WMRC) Database and co-ordinate projects which come under the WMRC workstream including, but not limited to, ensuring the requirements for research sponsorship are met, and organisation of the Post-Ash meeting, alongside liaising with research collaborators at a national level, whilst acting as a source of advice and guidance regarding the research governance for such projects and supporting other trust-led research.
There will be opportunities for hybrid working.

The post holder should demonstrate excellent project management skills, be an effective leader and mentor and have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills. They will ensure that the R&D Directorate and WMRC provides a high quality service in line with continuous improvement methodologies, in order to ensure effective delivery of the business support operations of the R&D Directorate. The post holder will be required to make informed decisions and solve issues within area of responsibility, guide others in making informed decisions and ensure that agreed targets are met in accordance with departmental, Trust and national standards, policies, procedures and local objectives. A high degree of initiative will be essential.
