The University of Manchester is seeking a Research Project Manager to lead a multidisciplinary research team at Saint Mary’s Hospital. This role offers a chance to develop scientific project management skills while coordinating a significant research project. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment, requiring strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. The post will be based at Saint Mary’s Hospital, within the Gynaecological Oncology research team, in the Division of Cancer Sciences. It will involve travel to GP sites around Greater Manchester. Professor Emma Crosbie leads the Manchester team. The study sponsor is the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), and the analysing laboratory is based at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL).
The successful candidate will support this cross-institutional research to achieve the project objectives and will be responsible for the coordination and daily management of the study in Manchester. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong interpersonal, communication, IT, and organisational skills to work in a multidisciplinary research environment and develop scientific project management skills.
Applicants should demonstrate the ability to work independently and have experience in research, industry, NHS, or academic settings, preferably within biomedical sciences.
It is anticipated that the successful candidate will commence early August 2025, with interviews scheduled for June (TBC).
