Job summary

Newcastle University is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join the FMS Project Management Team within the Faculty of Medical Sciences. The role supports delivery of observational studies, trials and multi-site projects, coordinating investigators, researchers and professional services to meet milestones and financial targets.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of project management methodology.
• Knowledge of budgetary/financial processes.
• Experience of working in a research environment.
• Relevant project or people management experience in a research, scientific, project management, pharmaceutical or medical environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for allocated projects and communicate with investigators, teams and stakeholders.
• Collate information to monitor progress against milestones and budgets.
• Support preparations of study timelines and milestones with awareness of critical paths.
• Assist with governance and good clinical practice where applicable.
• Organise project update meetings and maintain actions and records.
