How you can contribute to better collaboration between people and organizations:

Advantage Group International seeks a Research Programme Manager to design, deliver, and develop Advantage 360 benchmarking research programs in our UK & Ireland operations. This role suits a team-oriented individual who will collaborate with UK Programme Management, Operations, and Client Service teams to manage annual 360 research programs through design, specification, fieldwork, data analysis, and reporting. The role focuses on retail, wholesale, and out-of-home food and drink industry clients in sub-channels like Convenience, Wholesale, Foodservice, and On Trade.

This position is primarily remote, embracing flexible working, but requires travel for client and company meetings as needed.

Key responsibilities include:

Project Design & Management Excellence
  • Collaborate with Programme Director, Operations, and Client Service teams in the UK and Toronto to ensure program quality, schedule adherence, and strategic alignment.
  • Manage local activities for design, specification, execution, and reporting of benchmarking programs.
  • Coordinate with interviewers and editors during qualitative research phases.
  • Communicate with clients to ensure fieldwork quality, response rates, coverage, and milestone achievement.
Research Excellence
  • Gather and compile retailer and supplier intelligence compliant with GDPR and relevant standards.
  • Have recent experience or understanding of the UK Food & Drink industry for retailers and suppliers.
  • Capture research requirements from clients and ensure they are integrated into program setup.
  • Monitor survey response and coverage, making adjustments as needed.
  • Work with UK and Toronto teams on data processing, verification, and quality assurance.
Insights and Client Support
  • Ensure timely delivery of insightful reports aligned with client needs.
  • Deliver presentations effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Provide a positive client experience, gathering feedback through surveys.
  • Actively seek new clients and contribute to sales objectives.

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum A-levels or preferably a university degree.
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in project management, research, or marketing.
  • Experience in UK retail and wholesale sectors.
  • Knowledge of digital/media trends in retail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with BI tools like Tableau is a plus.
  • Excellent English communication skills.

This role is ideal if you are numerate, detail-oriented, communicative, and interested in Out of Home Food & Drink retail. You should be able to work independently with a high sense of urgency and build cooperative relationships.
