The University of Oxford – Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health invites applications for the position of Research Pharmacist. This role is integral to our commitment to advancing healthcare research and capacity-building initiatives in Laos and beyond, working collaboratively with partner organizations in the MORU network.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Research and Project Management: Conduct research on access to medicines and rational antimicrobial use in Laos, and oversee related projects.
  2. Capacity Development: Supervise and mentor colleagues, contribute to local capacity building through teaching and training initiatives.
  3. Collaboration and Support: Provide advice and support to LOMWRU and other partner organizations in Laos and internationally.
  4. Teaching and Training: Contribute to the educational objectives by participating in the teaching and training of local and visiting staff.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified pharmacist with a Bachelor Degree or equivalent.
  • Substantial experience working as a pharmacist in the hospital sector.
  • Published research on pharmacy or public health-related topics in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Demonstrated skills in decision making, problem-solving, planning, and organization.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, multi-cultural environment.
