Job summary

Kidney Research UK is seeking a Research Officer to support the delivery of its grants programme and oversee the full grant lifecycle. You will work within our Research Operations Team to ensure efficient rounds, clear data, and timely reviews.

The role requires planning, organisation and the ability to manage multiple priorities, with a proactive, collaborative approach and strong communication to liaise with applicants and committee members.

Qualifications

• Experience in research administration, grant funding, medical research or a scientific environment.
• Excellent planning, organisation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
• Confidence using data and systems to support grant management.
• Proactive, organised and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of our research grants programme across the full grant life cycle.

Salary & Hours

• Salary: £28,500 – £31,000 depending on experience
• Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
• Contract: 12-month fixed term contract (maternity cover)

About the Role

We are looking for an organised, confident and proactive research officer to support the effective delivery of our research grants programme and play a key role in delivering grants through the full grant life cycle. Working within our Research Operations Team, you will help deliver grant rounds, support committees and review panels, maintain accurate grants data, and contribute to the ongoing development of our new grant management system.

Kidney Research UK is the leading charity in the UK focused on funding research into the prevention, treatment and management of kidney disease.
