Job description

New drugs and treatments are currently being tested that are bringing about real change to haematology patients, helping to improve quality and prolonging life in many. Why not find out more by joining our team of research nurses and clinical research practitioners testing new treatments?

After comprehensive training, you will be managing a portfolio of phase 2 & 3 trials. You will be central to patient appointments, explaining the trials, collecting data, providing direct care including administration of new SACT therapies, and being a key support for the patients and their families.

You will be working mainly Monday through Friday, with no late shifts or night duties.

The post holder will work in the late phase Oncology (LPO) research team, part of the Oncology and Haematology Directorate, involved in a wide spectrum of clinical research, predominantly phase II/III. The team collaborates with the TV&SM CRN, academic, charity, and commercial partners, and is responsible for delivering late phase trials within the Oncology portfolio.

The post holder will work closely with research nurses, clinical research practitioners, data managers, clinical teams, and junior doctors/SPR’s, continually striving to improve quality of care and clinical outcomes.
