Job summary

Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in Reading is seeking a motivated Research Nurse to lead and drive NIHR Portfolio studies across departments, delivering patient‑centred care and improving NHS treatments.

You will support day-to-day study operations, identify and recruit participants, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while upholding GCP, research governance and good time management.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with degree or equivalent professional qualification
• Recent clinical experience advantageous in acute environment
• Knowledge of GCP and Research Governance is desirable
• Experience preparing and submitting study approvals is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of NIHR Portfolio studies and other projects
• Identify, recruit and follow up participants for studies
• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams across departments to meet objectives
• Manage portfolio with good time management and minimal supervision
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access)
