Job description

We are recruiting a Research Nurse to join the Research & Development Team at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, sharing our vision to provide outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

Our Research Nurses recruit patients to studies via local DGH teams and within the Cancer Centre. Responsibilities include promoting studies, recruiting and coordinating care for trial participants, and administering research drugs.

You may be responsible for the safe administration of experimental drugs and monitoring side effects.

Additional benefits include a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of basic salary, with a minimum of £4,552 and a maximum of £5,735 per annum pro rata.

The post involves screening and identifying eligible patients, maintaining knowledge of trial protocols, assisting with recruitment, monitoring progress, collecting data, and acting as a point of contact for patients and families.

You will support obtaining approvals for trials, review protocols, advise on equipment and resources, and ensure ethical considerations are met.
