An Exciting Opportunity to Join Our Dynamic Research Team!

Liverpool Vaccine Group (LVG) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Research Nurse to join our delivery team at our state-of-the-art 12-bedded Human Challenge Facility (HCF) in Liverpool. This facility will serve as a hub for experimental medicine research, focusing on human challenge models to test vaccine and drug safety and efficacy, contributing to the development of new treatments and vaccines.

The Role:

As a Research Nurse, you will provide clinical care in the HCF, delivering care to participants according to the study protocol while maintaining high standards of clinical care and GCP compliance. Responsibilities include:

• Providing clinical care to study participants during their stay in the HCF
• Collecting samples and completing data entry using electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs)
• Ensuring smooth, efficient clinical study operations in line with GCP guidelines
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and scientists to develop vaccines and treatments

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative research and the development of life-saving vaccines and treatments in a collaborative environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or Immediate Life Support (ILS) trained
• Experience in clinical research or trials (desirable but not essential)
• Knowledge of GCP
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• A passion for improving global health through research
• Availability to work out of hours, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays

You will work in the Liverpool Life Science Accelerator Building, part of the Knowledge Quarter, in a 12-bed inpatient facility advancing vaccine testing against infectious pathogens.

This post is a contingent contract, with hours including social hours, evenings, and weekends.
