Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust in Blackburn seeks a Research Nurse to join the Acute and Chronic Conditions Research Team. This NHS AfC Band 5, permanent role is full time (37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri) at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital.

Salary will be determined by experience; closing date 01/10/2026. You will support studies across multiple disciplines, liaise with clinicians and research staff, and help drive high-quality patient-focused research within the NHS.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and post-registration experience.
• Experience or interest in acute or chronic conditions and research delivery.
• ICH-GCP training or willingness to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Identify, recruit and support patients in ACC studies.
• Collaborate with team leaders, clinicians and researchers to deliver studies.
• Ensure accurate data collection and maintenance of study documentation.
