Job summary

The Research Nurse at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust supports both commercial and non-commercial research studies in a flexible 7 day, 24 hour service. Qualifications

• Experience in research would be advantageous but not essential.
• Care and monitoring of research subjects in accordance with governance and legislation.
• Maintain source documentation and regulatory liaison in line with study protocols.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, enrolment, screening and retention of research subjects.
• Support documentation required by Ethics Committees for ethical review and approval.
• Plan and implement study protocols as set by Chief/Principal Investigators.
• Maintain data collection systems and monitoring data per protocol.
• Maintain liaison with Chief Investigator and regulatory bodies.
• Represent and promote the study objectives to internal/external constituencies.
