A prominent NHS teaching trust in Oxford is seeking a part-time Band 6 Neonatal Research Nurse. The successful candidate will support various neonatal studies and be involved in all aspects of clinical trials. Applicants should have a relevant nursing degree, significant neonatal experience, and effective communication skills. This role offers a chance to integrate research into the clinical environment while working closely with both research and clinical teams.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Neonatal Research Nurse to join the Neonatal Research Team, supporting our growing portfolio of studies as a maternity leave cover. The appointment will be working part-time at 18.75 hours per week.
The Neonatal Research Team provide the delivery and management of clinical trials and research studies across the Newborn Care Unit and Post-Natal areas at the John Radcliffe Hospital. The research nurse will be involved in all aspects of conducting studies, including study set up, patient identification, screening, recruitment and follow-up of research participants according to the trial protocols, ensuring all research activity is in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines.
The research nurse will become part of an existing team of research staff and will work closely with clinical staff to help embed research into the clinical setting. We are looking for a committed and passionate nurse with an interest in neonatal care and in developing an evidence-base through research.
