We are looking for a dynamic & motivated nurse to work in the busy Cardiology Research Department. You will be tasked with the running of a variety of clinical trials, in accordance with good clinical practice guidelines. You will be an engaged part of our team and eager to learn about research.
The Research Nurse is an independent practitioner working within the multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will take responsibility for the co-ordination and management of clinical trials covering a clinical research portfolio with an emphasis on interventional cardiology as well as a variety of other areas of cardiology that the team covers research in.
Responsibilities will include education of patients and colleagues, coordination of care of patients on trials, device accountability as well as the collection and input of data. The post holder will be expected to develop specialised skills and knowledge relating to the conduct of clinical trials and the relevant cardiac conditions. The post holder will be expected to have sufficient skills to enable patients to make informed choices concerning their involvement in clinical trials by providing advice and information and acting as the patient’s advocate.
