An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 research nurse within the haematology research department, working across our Sutton and Chelsea branches.
This pivotal role involves being part of a multidisciplinary team, including experienced medical and research staff, participating in a range of clinical research studies. The ideal candidate will have previous clinical research experience, work within guidelines and policies for clinical trials, and ensure high standards of practice in accordance with GCP principles.
The successful applicant will be a self-directed practitioner with the skills to motivate others, a flexible approach to duties, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication, administrative, and IT skills are essential, along with a supportive attitude towards new initiatives. We highly value continuous professional development and support further study, with opportunities to attend overseas scientific meetings. Flexible working arrangements can also be considered.

The post involves supporting the day-to-day running of clinical trials related to cancer treatment, symptom management, or screening, working closely with principal investigators and multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include patient recruitment, education, monitoring, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring research compliance with ICH GCP guidelines.
You will support junior research nurses through education and training, monitor and raise the standard of nursing input, and contribute to safeguarding patient wellbeing during research activities.
