Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Support GD Fundraising and Field Operations teams with funding bids by engaging with research partners and project funders, and supporting the development of monitoring and evaluation plans.
- Design surveys and interview guides, perform testing and piloting of data collection instruments.
- Assist in developing and supporting ongoing monitoring and evaluation, and initiate evaluations of GD projects.
- Perform data quality checks for research and evaluations.
- Conduct primary data analysis and provide statistical support.
- Write reports and review reports from stakeholders.
- Conduct literature reviews and stay updated with relevant research.
- Maintain GD’s research knowledge databases.
- Participate in administrative duties related to research projects.
Core competencies and experiences:
- Master's degree in Economics with coursework in econometrics, impact evaluation, and economic development.
- Minimum 3 years of research experience, preferably in countries where GiveDirectly operates.
- Understanding of economic development and poverty reduction drivers.
- Experience with quantitative research methods and tools (R, Stata, SurveyCTO). Experience with experimental/quasi-experimental designs is a plus.
- Experience in qualitative research, including design and analysis.
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stakeholder management skills.
- Project management experience.
- Ability to synthesize literature and communicate findings clearly.
- Alignment with core competencies: emotional intelligence, problem solving, project management, follow-through, inclusivity. Experience with low-income or marginalized communities is encouraged.
Compensation:
Competitive salary and benefits, aligned with experience.
- United States: $81,400
- UK: £55,600
- Kenya: $48,000
