Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Support GD Fundraising and Field Operations teams funding bids through engagement with research partners and project funders, and support the development of project monitoring and evaluation plans.
- Design surveys and interview guides, perform testing and piloting of data collection instruments.
- Work with Field Operations on monitoring, evaluation, and evaluations of GD projects.
- Perform data quality checks for research and evaluations.
- Conduct data analysis and provide statistical support.
- Write reports and review reports from stakeholders.
- Conduct literature reviews and stay updated on relevant research.
- Maintain GD’s research knowledge databases.
- Assist with administrative duties related to research projects.
Core competencies and experiences:
- Masters in Economics with coursework in econometrics, impact evaluation, and economic development.
- At least 3 years of research experience, preferably in countries where GiveDirectly operates.
- Understanding of economic development and poverty reduction.
- Experience with quantitative research, software (R, Stata, SurveyCTO), and familiarity with experimental/quasi-experimental designs.
- Experience in qualitative research and analysis.
- Strong communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Stakeholder management and project management experience.
- Ability to synthesize literature and present key findings clearly.
- Alignment with core competencies: emotional intelligence, problem solving, project management, follow-through, inclusivity. Experience with low-income or marginalized communities is encouraged.
Compensation:
Competitive salary and benefits, aligned with experience. The US salary is $81,400; UK: £55,600; Kenya: $48,000. The role is fully remote, with salary benchmarks shared during hiring.
