Job summary

Focaldata is hiring a Research Manager to lead public opinion projects for foundations and non-profits, primarily working with quantitative survey data with some qualitative work.

Qualifications

• Approximately 4 years of research experience in public opinion around social and political issues.
• Experience of independently completing quantitative public opinion research, from project scoping to data analysis and presentations.
• Strong experience communicating with clients and building relationships.
• Some knowledge about writing proposals for new business.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Knowledge of how to analyse data in R or Python and openness to AI in workflows.
• Mixed-methods background including qualitative interviews is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of research projects, including client management, survey design, fieldwork management, analysis and insights reports.
• Lead client communications, provide ongoing updates and ensure clients are happy with insights.
• Identify opportunities to expand work with existing clients and grow accounts.
• Run your own research, write thought leadership and host events with stakeholders.
• Assist senior team with proposals and demonstrations of Focaldata's capabilities.
• Contribute to building the research team by mentoring juniors and improving processes.
• Develop new methods and AI-enhanced workflows for research.
