Job description

Are you passionate about advancing oncology research and eager to lead innovative projects? We are seeking a dedicated Research Manager to oversee and expand our cancer research initiatives at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The Research Manager will play a vital role in managing, developing, and enhancing our oncology research portfolio. This involves collaboration with clinical, academic, and administrative teams, ensuring compliance with financial, ethical, and regulatory standards, and leading a team of research professionals.

Main duties include:

  1. Leading the management and development of the research portfolio and support infrastructure.
  2. Collaborating with clinical and academic staff across all research stages.
  3. Ensuring adherence to research governance, ethical standards, and financial regulations.
  4. Managing a team of Clinical Research Nurses, Data Managers, and Research Administrators.
  5. Working with UCL and UCLH staff to expand oncology clinical trials and research activities.

Our Cancer Services, part of the Surgery and Cancer Board, support outpatient, inpatient, and day care services in oncology and hematology. The Cancer Clinical Trials Unit, based at 250 Euston Rd, supports high-quality clinical research in a collaborative environment, ensuring trials meet UK standards and provide patient access to cutting-edge treatments.
