This role will provide general and specialist administrative support on Research Inclusion within the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) South West, usually referred to as ARC SW. Research inclusion is essential for all projects funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). Research inclusion requires meticulous attention to data collection, data monitoring and secure data storage. It also requires the administration of training events and storing of guidance materials related to research inclusion. This administrative post will be central to these functions.
ARC SW is funded by the NIHR. ARC SW is a large research group based across a number of organisations. We work closely with health and social care professionals, members of the public and local communities to address issues facing the health and care system through applied research and ensure the needs of our national populations are met.
At the University of Exeter, ARC SW staff sit within the Departments for Health and Community Sciences and Public Health and Sport Sciences, in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.
The successful candidate will have recent and relevant experience of working in a research inclusion role, and of working independently and delivering answers to complex queries. Experience in data handling and reporting is an advantage. Strong administrative skills with experience in SharePoint sites and in processing and reporting data will also benefit the role. Experience of planning and delivering events, all-day meetings and other public-facing activity is also essential.
