A leading London based University is recruiting for a Research Hub Manager – Are you interested?
Daily Rate: based on salary equivalent of £56,652 - £68,005
Contract type: 1 month, possibility of further extension
Working hours: Full-Time, 35 hours per week
Location: London (Hybrid)
Job Purpose:
The Research Hub Manager will be responsible for the on-going publicity, management, planning and co-ordination of the Communications Hub. The post holder will be expected to maintain the communication, budget management and administrative structure for the project.
Duties:
- Be responsible for the management of the Hub grant, its budgets and accounts, and to coordinate and distribute financial progress reports as necessary.
- Manage the engagement with the sponsors, the grant’s academic partners and other stakeholders from industry, academia, and government.
- Manage the regular cycles of events such as running calls for proposals, arranging monthly meetings, agenda, speakers and managing the International workshop logistics and finances.
- Support the Hub’s public engagement and online presence.
- Maintain proactive management of the Hub’s social media presence, including populating portals to include calls for seed funding, newsletters, job adverts etc.
- Assist with the day-to-day running of the group’s research web pages and social media output.
- Monitor budget expenditure to ensure compliance with sponsors’ terms and conditions.
- Coordinate the quarterly and annual project reports and provide financial advice and support to the relevant academic staff and students.
Person Specification:
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to deal with a wide range of people.
- Experience with publicity, such as scientific writing or the creation of web pages, including hosting a social media presence.
- Experience in managing scientific or industrial projects.
- Experience within the higher education sector.
- Understanding and experience of research grant funding.
