The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world’s leading public health universities. The Research Funding Officer role (Maternity Cover) provides comprehensive pre-award support to LSHTM’s three academic faculties. The posts will work within a small team responsible for supporting coordination, budget development and submission of research funding applications.
This is a busy and varied role requiring the post holders to:
You should be educated to a degree level or equivalent, or equivalent work-related relevant experience. You will have experience of working in a finance or professional service role. Good organisational and interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to prioritise workload and work flexibly to support a range of activities with competing deadlines and timescales. The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1 FTE and fixed-term for 1 year.
The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 5 in the range £39,432 - £45,097 per annum pro-rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
