About the role

The postholder will be based in IEDE and will work with partners of the ARCADE project, which aims to help decision-makers protect vulnerable populations in the UK from heat-related health issues, especially among older adults and in less studied housing types like retirement villages and social housing.

This position is available immediately and is funded until 28/02/2026, with potential for further funding. Interviews are scheduled for 01 or 02 September. About you

The ideal candidate has a PhD or equivalent in a relevant field, with experience in social or qualitative research, system dynamics modelling, and group model building, and a strong interest in policy-engaged research. For Grade 8 consideration, significant post-doctoral experience or leadership in relevant projects/publications is required.
