The University of Sheffield ATLAS group invites applications for a Research Fellow position in Particle Physics. The role involves constructing silicon strip detector modules for the ATLAS Phase-II tracker upgrade. You will also help with the commissioning of the new detector and work on detector development for future experiments.

You will manage one engineer and graduate students involved in the project. We want a motivated candidate who is keen to build and contribute to a balanced research

Formación

• PhD in particle physics or a related field.
• Experience with software such as C++, Python, Root, Athena, GEANT4.
• History of successful work within particle physics collaborations and publications.

Responsabilidades

• Construct silicon strip detector modules for the ATLAS Phase-II tracker upgrade.
• Assist with commissioning of the new detector and detector development for future experiments.
• Lead and supervise researchers and contribute to funding proposals.
