Job summary

The University of Surrey invites applications for a full-time fixed-term Researcher role on EPSRC project EP/Y000196/1. You will develop and validate advanced modelling for SGTs/MMTs using TCAD, compact and AI-assisted methods.

Work with experimental teams to fit models to data, document findings, and contribute to publications, proposals and collaborations. Some national/international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• PhD in Electronic Engineering, Semiconductor Device Physics, computational modelling, or related field.
• Expertise in high-fidelity TCAD, compact modelling, or AI-assisted modelling of semiconductor devices.
• Ability to interpret data and align models with measured behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Modelling and simulation research within EPSRC project EP/Y000196/1, developing and validating predictive models of SGT and MMT devices.
• Collaborate with experimental team to fit models to data and inform device/circuit design.
• Publish research outputs, maintain documentation, present findings at conferences and contribute to proposals and collaborations.
