A leading NHS trust in Camden Town is seeking a Research Facilitator to promote collaboration across healthcare settings. The role involves supporting research studies, ensuring governance, and engaging with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in research governance and strong communication skills. This position is pivotal in enhancing research delivery and support within the community.
An exciting opportunity to join the North London Regional Research Delivery Network (RRDN) as a Research Facilitator within the Research Support Team. The Network aims to strengthen collaboration between researchers, NHS partners and wider community organisations, and Research Facilitators promote this collaboration across current and planned projects.
The post holder will work closely with researchers, primary care staff at GP practices, pharmacies, multidisciplinary teams, NHS Trust R&D departments, and providers in community and wider care settings (e.g. care homes, charities, faith-based groups, prisons and schools). In conjunction with the Agile Team, they will actively support the set-up and delivery of NIHR RDN Portfolio studies across varied health and care settings. They will identify recruiting sites, provide performance data support, ensure governance requirements are met, deliver training, and maintain positive relationships with local NHS and community organisations.
The focus for this role is to lead the delivery and/or set up of NIHR RDN Portfolio studies across varied health and care settings. This will require flexible autonomous working across disciplines and the RRDN region. The post has a dual function and the post holder will either lead on research delivery and/or research support for wider care settings dependent upon regional need. Research delivery will involve identification, recruitment, delivery and follow-up for research participants according to the appropriate protocols.
Research support will involve engaging with stakeholders to promote research activity, site identification, setup and governance. The post holder will need interpersonal and leadership skills to facilitate collaborative working relationships across a breadth of stakeholders to maximise engagement opportunities.
This post may contribute to line management for and leadership of a team of research delivery staff working autonomously in a variety of specialties and settings.
