Job summary

YouGov's Public Sector & Charities team is seeking a Research Executive to contribute to projects that help government departments, charities, academics and NGOs understand public attitudes and make informed decisions. You'll be involved from questionnaire design and data analysis through to reporting and presenting findings to clients.

The role may involve independent project management for smaller studies and collaboration with senior researchers on larger studies.

Qualifications

• Experience of contributing to research projects.
• Up to 1 year relevant experience, gained at a research agency or a mix of agency and client-side.
• An understanding of quantitative research is desirable, while confidence working with data is essential.

Job description

You'll join our Public Sector & Charities team as a Research Executive, working on research that helps government departments, charities, academics and NGOs understand public attitudes and make informed decisions. You'll contribute to projects from questionnaire design and data analysis through to reporting and presenting findings to clients, working across a wide variety of social and public-policy topics.

Depending on your experience, you'll manage some projects independently and work alongside senior researchers on larger or more complex studies. We're looking for someone who combines strong quantitative and communication skills with curiosity, initiative, and excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Manage research projects from start to finish, with support from senior colleagues, ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard.

Qualifications:

• Experience of contributing to research projects, including evidence you can take ownership, learn quickly, and provide high quality work.

• Up to 1 years’ relevant experience, gained at a research agency or a mix of agency and client-side.

• An existing understanding of quantitative research is desirable, while confidence working with data is essential.

• Degree-level education or equivalent experience; a research, social science or related qualification such as the MRS Advanced Certificate would be an advantage.
