Meta is seeking an AI Software/Research Engineer to join our Brain and AI team at FAIR (Fundamental AI Research). The position involves applying advanced AI skills to address significant social data and prediction challenges on the web.

Research Engineer, FAIR - Brain & AI Responsibilities

1. Optimize, profile, and enhance deep learning models for scaling and research.
2. Apply AI and machine learning techniques to analyze neural signals.
3. Develop infrastructure for efficient scaling of AI models.
4. Create novel AI algorithms and systems for large-scale applications.
5. Define use cases, and develop methodologies and benchmarks for evaluation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or related quantitative field.
• Industry experience in machine learning research and deployment.
• Proficiency in Python and PyTorch.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with distributed systems or on-device algorithms.
• Participation in research projects leading to publications.
• Experience with high-performance coding and profiling.
• Knowledge of ML systems such as AI infrastructure, accelerators, GPU architecture, and model-parallel Transformer models.
• Demonstrable open-source development experience.
