The Data Intelligence Unit (DIU) builds the proprietary data foundation that powers Centellic products and insight. We design and run research programmes, acquire and structure new data, improve the quality and accessibility of existing assets, and turn complex evidence into clear, decision-ready outputs.
We are looking for a Research & Data Specialist to help close important data gaps through primary and secondary research, strengthen the quality and usability of our datasets, and produce analysis that helps colleagues and clients understand the legal market. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys moving between research, analysis, and data operations.
Typically 2–3 years of professional experience in research, data analysis, market intelligence, consultancy, or a related field. Experience working with both quantitative and qualitative data, with confidence cleaning, manipulating and checking datasets. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, filtering and data-quality checks, plus the ability to communicate findings in PowerPoint. A careful approach to sourcing, validation and documentation, with strong attention to detail and a willingness to investigate inconsistencies. Sound organisation and project-management skills, with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work independently while seeking input at the right time. Intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in research, the business of law, technology and AI.
