Job summary

Hudson River Trading is seeking a Research Data Engineer to join the Data team. You will develop end-to-end onboarding of vendor data, cleaning, normalizing, and featurizing data for alpha research, while ensuring high-quality service via data checks and alerts.

You will collaborate with researchers to build valuable datasets for trading strategies and gain expertise in data and alpha construction from careful analysis.

Responsibilities

• Onboard, normalize, and featurize datasets for statistical modeling research.
• Serve as SME for onboarded datasets and build data expertise.
• Partner with sourcing to evaluate new data procurement opportunities.
• Analyze data to identify and improve alpha.
• Manage end-to-end data pipeline from ingestion to refined features.
• Provide on-call support for data issues during business hours.
• Design and implement automated data quality checks and monitoring alerts.
