Job summary

The Talent Set is seeking a Research Communications Manager in London to translate complex research into accessible content for public and donor audiences. You will develop impact stories and cases for support to aid income generation, and create content for websites, social media, media relations and other channels.

• Experience communicating scientific, medical or research topics to non-specialist audiences.
• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, presentation and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to make complex information accurate, accessible and engaging.
• Experience using digital communications channels to share research-focused content.
• Knowledge of research, healthcare or medical sectors, ideally including research.
• Experience supporting fundraising or income-generation communications.

This temporary, on-site position will translate complex research into accessible, engaging communications that demonstrate impact, support fundraising activity and promote meaningful connections between research, donors and communities affected by the cause.

Person Specification

• Experience communicating scientific, medical or research topics to non-specialist audiences.
• Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, presentation and verbal communication skills.

• Experience using digital communications channels to share research-focused content.
• Knowledge of research, healthcare or medical sectors, ideally including research.
• Effective planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Collaborative approach and confidence building relationships with varied stakeholders.
• Experience supporting fundraising or income-generation communications.
• Familiarity with Canva or similar content creation tools would be beneficial.
