Job Overview

2 Year, Fixed-Term/Secondment

This post is part of the Clinical Research Centre team at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport. The post holder will support the smooth running of the centre and provide administrative support, including making appointments, booking patients, coordinating meetings, and preparing clinical areas. You should demonstrate excellent organisational skills and be flexible in your approach.

This is a patient-facing role requiring confident communication with patients, families, and the Multi-Disciplinary Team.

This role offers opportunities for personal and professional development, including training and development programs.

This is a fixed-term position for 2 years; secondment options are available with prior approval from your current line manager.

Main duties
  • Coordinate and prepare clinical space
  • Support booking appointments and arranging patient transport
  • Ensure availability of equipment and stock, manage stock control and ordering
  • Provide administrative support to the Research Centre

Essential skills include excellent IT skills. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential; applications from English and Welsh speakers are welcome.
