A leading university in the UK is seeking a Research Associate to evaluate health services under the Health and Growth Accelerators Programme. You will collaborate with stakeholders like NHS England and contribute to various health research projects. The role supports flexible working arrangements and offers a competitive pension scheme along with other employee benefits.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Associate to work as part of the Rose-NET - one of three national evaluation teams commissioned by the NIHR, to undertake in-depth evaluations of large-scale service changes of particular importance to the NHS in England. Rose-NET brings together expertise in evaluation methodology and co-production and dissemination, and our evaluations will involve a range of stakeholders, including NHS England, the Department of Health and Social Care and wider groups of professionals and patients.
The first Rose-NET evaluation is of the Health and Growth Accelerators Programme. A decline in working-age health has had a significant impact on numbers of people not participating in the labour market. As economic and health outcomes are strongly related, the Government is introducing Health and Growth Accelerators to introduce a new approach to how the health system operates with local partners to join up services and reduce economic inactivity.
One position is available for a Research Associate at the Centre for Primary Care and Health Services Research at The University of Manchester, working with Professor Peter Bower and Dr Rachel Meacock. The focus of the post is on the Health and Growth Accelerators Programme, although the postholder will be expected to be able to work flexibly across other Rose NET evaluations and wider work in applied health research within the Centre for Primary Care and Health Services Research.
As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status. All appointments are made on merit.
