Zusammenfassung

The University of Manchester is seeking a motivated Research Associate in the Department of Chemistry to work on ultra-thin polymer-based membranes and PIMs. You will contribute to ionic gating and molecular separations, publish work, and develop new concepts.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, train students, and contribute to scientific reports, aiming to advance electrochemical and nanofabrication research in a dynamic environment.

Qualifikationen

• A PhD (or near completion) in electrochemistry, polymer science or membranes with experimental chemistry, materials science or chemical engineering.
• Strong publication record in internationally peer-reviewed journals and ability to write scientific reports.
• Experience with electrochemical measurements and advanced lab instrumentation.

Aufgaben

• Conduct original research and collaborate within the group and internationally as per project needs.
• Develop research objectives and proposals for own or joint research with mentor support.
• Conduct individual and collaborative research projects.
• Write up research work for publication.
• Train students and others in project-related skills.
