Job summary

The University of Manchester seeks a motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Keerthi group in the Chemistry Department. The project focuses on ultra-thin polymer membranes and fluidic chips with polymers of intrinsic porosity (PIMs) to study molecular and ionic transport and separations.

The successful candidate will publish papers and contribute to innovative concepts. A PhD in a related field and strong membrane/nanofabrication experience are required, with a start date around

Qualifications

• A PhD (or near completion) in synthetic chemistry, polymer science or membranes.
• Strong publication record and ability to write scientific reports.
• Experience with electrochemical measurements and related equipment.
• Experience in nanofabrication and ultrathin membranes or 2D materials.

Responsibilities

• Conduct original research and collaborate within the group and internationally.
• Develop research objectives and proposals with mentorship support.
• Carry out independent and collaborative projects.
• Prepare manuscripts for publication and present findings.
