Exciting Opportunity in Romantic Period Literature

We are seeking a Research Associate for the School of English to contribute to a new edition of Shelley’s work for Oxford University Press, part of the 21st Century Oxford Authors series. This edition aims to comprehensively present Shelley’s poetry, prose, and letters.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD (or equivalent experience) in Romanticism, preferably focusing on Percy Bysshe Shelley, along with expertise or an interest in editorial work. Experience in editing and establishing texts, particularly of Shelley, is highly desirable.

This role involves meticulous editing, checking texts, and establishing copy texts. Passion for Romantic poets and editorial work is essential.

  • Follow principles of scholarly editing, including working with copy-texts and preparing collations.
  • Collaborate closely with the editor, with opportunities for professional growth.
Work Arrangements
