Job summary

The Department of Sociological Studies at the University of Sheffield invites applications for a fixed-term Research Associate to work with Dr Julie Walsh (PI) and Dr Maria Teresa Ferazzoli (Co-I) to deliver the Knowledge Exchange project, ‘Working with Migrant Communities’: upscaling and embedding in practice.

You should have or be in the process of submitting a PhD in a Social Science subject with demonstrable interest and/or expertise in migration, race/ethnicity, family studies, social care,

Qualifications

• PhD in a Social Science subject (or submitting) with demonstrable interest/expertise in migration, race/ethnicity, family studies, social care, policy/practice, and social inequalities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Experience conducting research with socially disadvantaged and diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Knowledge Exchange project, ‘Working with Migrant Communities’, and contribute to upscaling and embedding in practice.
• Collaborate with the PI and Co-Is to implement the project plan and outputs.
• Prepare findings for dissemination to academic and practice audiences.
