Job Description:

The Berger Schaffitzel laboratories are seeking to fill a PDRA post at the School of Biochemistry, University of Bristol UK.

Showing a high degree of independence and resourcefulness, you will be developing next-generation vaccines for treating infectious diseases, using platforms such as MultiBac, SynBac, and ADDomer developed in the Berger Schaffitzel labs. You will conduct world-class research in vaccine development, protein design, molecular and structural biology, collaborating with leading global partners. The environment is vibrant, inclusive, and equitable, within a top 10 UK university city known for quality of life.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, generate, and characterize thermostable, affordable, next-generation vaccines using cutting-edge technology.
  • Collaborate with UK-based partners in the Innovative Future Vaccine Manufacturing and Research Hub.
  • Engage in research on synthetic vaccine design, utilizing advanced platforms developed by the Berger Schaffitzel team and resources at Bristol.
