An established academic institution is seeking two Post-Doctoral Research Associates to lead innovative research in network psychometrics. This role involves analyzing extensive longitudinal data to uncover interactions between clinical features across development. Join a team of experts and contribute to groundbreaking studies that aim to identify critical developmental tipping points and mechanistic pathways related to mental health. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a diverse and inclusive environment, where your contributions can significantly impact the field of neurodevelopment.
A new opportunity has opened in the Department of Forensic and Neurodevelopmental Sciences for two Post-Doctoral Research Associates to lead on cutting-edge 'network psychometrics' to examine how clinical features interact with each other (as well as neurobiological, neurocognitive processes) across development. These analyses will provide critical information to track what drives changes (e.g., developing mental health problems), when (identifying critical developmental tipping points), and how (which mechanistic pathways drive this).
The successful candidate(s) will join a world-class academic team of experts in neurodevelopment, who are situated in international networks (e.g., aims-2-trials.eu; candy-project.eu; r2d2-mh.eu).
The post holder(s) will work with secondary data from very large (>2,500 individuals) longitudinal European cohorts that span from the preschool age range into middle adulthood. Individuals within these cohorts have been 'deeply phenotyped' - comprehensively characterised by their clinical characteristics, behaviour/cognitive profiles, brain structure and function, inflammatory markers, and genetics.
This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), with a fixed-term contract until 30th November 2026.
