Role: Research Associate in Quantum Networks

Grade and Salary: Grade 7 - £37,694 - £47,389

Contract Type: Full Time (1FTE), Fixed Term (14 months or as funding allows)

About our Team:

The post holder will join the research group led by Prof Erika Andersson, collaborating with teams at Cambridge and the Perimeter Institute in Waterloo, Canada. The institute offers opportunities for interaction with related theoretical and experimental groups.

Detailed Description:

We aim to develop theories and support experimental efforts in Quantum Networks, including quantum communication and distributed quantum computing. The project seeks to contribute to the development of quantum internet technology, linking quantum computers with secure quantum communication channels. The role involves formulating and developing theoretical approaches, contributing to research publications and proposals, and managing aspects of this complex project.

The project is part of Quantum Network Applications in Theory and Practice, in collaboration with partners at Cambridge, Heriot-Watt University, and the Perimeter Institute. It benefits from a broad network of collaborators.
