The Quantum Photonics Laboratory at Heriot-Watt University is seeking a talented scientist to conduct research on quantum, linear, and nonlinear optical spectroscopy of twisted 2D van der Waals crystals. This project is part of a University Research Fellowship from the Royal Society, focusing on programmable moiré quantum materials.
Applicants should have a strong background in condensed matter physics and optical spectroscopy, with a PhD in materials science, physics, chemistry, engineering, or related fields. A proven track record in optical spectroscopy, quantum optics, and scientific publishing is essential. The candidate should be capable of conducting independent research, supervising junior researchers, and engaging in collaborative projects.
