A prominent educational institution in York is seeking a researcher to develop a programmable multienzyme assembly for enzymatic nucleic acid synthesis. The role requires a PhD in biochemistry or related fields, with a focus on enzyme engineering and collaborative research approaches. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills and a commitment to diversity and inclusivity.
You will be involved in developing a programmable multienzyme assembly for enzymatic nucleic acid synthesis characterised using a multidisciplinary approach including protein library design, single-molecule FRET (smFRET), mass spectrometry, enzyme kinetics and atomic force microscopy (AFM). Knowledge of nucleic acid-modifying enzymes, specifically DNA/RNA polymerases, and enzymatic protein assemblies is essential.
