Job summary

The University of Kent's Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE) invites applications for a Research Associate in Conservation Science in Canterbury. The role contributes to the E3 Sharing Space for Nature Programme, focusing on OECMs and their ecological and social outcomes.

You will conduct original research, publish in leading journals, and co-supervise postgraduate researchers while working in a world‑leading environment recognised for its output and impact in conservation

Qualifications

• A PhD in conservation science or a relevant subject, or equivalent.
• Specialist knowledge of, and research experience in, OECMs and area-based conservation.
• Experience of research publications relevant to area-based conservation.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking original, high-quality research and publishing in leading journals.
• Supporting the activities of the E3 initiative to achieve the overarching objectives.
• Co-supervising and mentoring postgraduate researchers.
