An established industry player seeks a Research Associate to join their dynamic team at a leading research centre. This role involves contributing to impactful research on ethnic and racial inequalities in partnership with the NHS Race and Health Observatory. The successful candidate will engage in study development, manage project activities, and analyze data to produce publications that promote racial equality and justice. Applications are sought for a Research Associate to contribute to research and impact work conducted by the Centre on the Dynamics of Ethnicity (CoDE) in partnership with the NHS Race and Health Observatory. The post is based in the Department of Sociology and CoDE, with an appointment period of 18 months. The post-holder will report to Professor Byrne and will be supported by discipline-specific mentors.
Founded in 2013, CoDE is a leading research centre focused on ethnic, racial, and religious inequalities in the UK. It employs mixed-method and interdisciplinary research to understand these inequalities and their drivers across key social domains. CoDE aims to make its data and evidence accessible to policy, research communities, and the public to promote action towards racial equality and justice. The project with the NHS Race and Health Observatory focuses on proposing and testing policy solutions for racial inequalities, specifically related to severe mental health conditions.
The Research Associate will contribute to study development, liaise with project partners, assist in managing the programme, analyze data, write publications, and participate in dissemination activities.
